Teach Children to Save
K Savings
At The First National Bank of Long Island, our Teach Children to Save Program makes it easy for kids to learn about the importance of saving money and banking!
K Savings is a savings account for kids under the age of 18 that motivates and rewards children for learning how to save money. When a child opens up a K Savings account at any of our full-service branches, he/she will receive a special 90-day rate and will be able to qualify in our annual credit incentive plan. Depending on how much your child or grandchild saves per year, he/she can receive up to a $30.00 credit every year in their account! Plus, every child who participates in the program will receive their very own "K Savings" bank passbook to record deposits, withdrawals, and interest credits so they can see their savings grow! Or they can choose to receive a monthly statement in the mail or sign up for e-statements! You have unlimited access to in-branch withdrawals. You are allowed six transfers/withdrawals per month1.
