Shop Local: Shop Small this Holiday Season
Last year, shoppers came together in full force to support their local communities, and Small Business Saturday hit a record high with an estimated $19.8 billion in reported spending.
We encourage everyone to shop local and shop small this holiday season – supporting the local community businesses that line our downtown communities and business districts.
For every dollar spent at a small business, an estimated average of $0.76 stays in that business' local community, helping local business districts recover from the revenue lost throughout the pandemic.
Since 2011, the U.S. Small Business Administration has been a formal cosponsor of Small Business Saturday, founded by American Express in 2010.
